Ordering and Shipping Information
How to order online with The Reading Nook
Shopping at The Reading Nook is easy! Throughout the product pages, you will see images of books along with their titles and authors. If you see a book in which you're interested, click on the image for more information such as book description and price. Once you click on the image and you decide you want to order the book, click "add to cart." This will take you to the shopcart where you can view your selected books. At any time you can update your quantities, remove any items from your order, or completely clear your cart. When you're ready to purchase the books, click "Checkout" if you're in the shopcart. If you're on a product page, click the "checkout" button on the top, left side.
Secure Payment Methods
We currently accept Visa, Master Card, and PayPal. You can feel rest assured that your transaction will be completely safe with us. The Reading Nook uses SSL or Secure Socket Layer, the latest technology to protect your private information. This is the same industry-standard level of protection used by all major online shopping sites. All of your personal information, including your name, address, and credit card number is encrypted to keep it safe throughout the purchasing process. When you enter your credit card information, it is sent directly to your bank for authorization. We never see the credit card number, and it is not recorded in our files. All credit card numbers will be placed in US funds.
If you aren't comfortable making an online payment, we would be happy to accept any of the following methods:
*You can print the final checkout page with the list of books you wish to order (and shipping costs) and send it to us with a personal check or money order. Personal checks must be drawn from a bank with US funds.

*If you're with a school or library, you can send us a Purchase Order on school or library letterhead.

Shipping Policy
The Reading Nook offers Standard Shipping and Two-Day Shipping through UPS and USPS. Shipping costs for orders depend upon the method and option you choose. The total shipping charge will be displayed on the final checkout page, before you submit your order.
Occasionally some orders will be dropshipped from our distributors to expedite the delivery of packages. Most orders are assembled from our distribution centers and may take a few days before they ship.
Return Policy
The books you order from The Reading Nook are guaranteed to be in new, excellent condition. If for some reason you are not satisfied with your order, you may return new and unused books within two weeks of receipt for a full refund. We will also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error.
If the merchandise is lost or damaged, we will replace the items or promptly issue a refund.
Your full purchase price will be refunded except for shipping costs if you decide not to keep the ordered books.
We will not provide a refund if there is obvious use of the merchandise. Please note that we do not accept returns on orders for new books in quantities of 10 or more (of the same title).

We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item. In most cases, we'll issue a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase. If you paid by check, it will take several days before the credit is posted to your bank account.
One of our main goals is customer satisfaction! If you are unhappy with your purchase for any reason, please contact us immediately.
Cancellation Policy
You can cancel your order for any item sold by The Reading Nook, provided that the order has not yet entered the shipping process.
To cancel an order, please contact us at 229-549-8534 or via email at thereadingnook@surfsouth.com to check the status of your order. If the books have not been shipped, you may cancel any item in the outstanding order.
